Regular Duties                                  Received the Meritorious Service Medal for accomplishments during my tour.  Upon arrival to the Recruiting Station, I identified “low moral” as the #1 reason why the unit was continuously unsuccessful in reaching its monthly goals.  I then developed and implemented programs that significantly increased moral; this increase has resulted in RS Detroit now constantly reaching its monthly goals.  RS Detroit went from being one of the worst RSs in the 4th Marine Corps District to winning the RS of the Year award two years running.
Pool Program                                   Reduced pool attrition from 34% to 19% thereby reducing contracting equally.

Sergeant of the Guard:  Responsible for training and inspecting my guard mount members as well as scheduling, placement at posts, and supervising the watch to include the responsibility for reactionary force deployment.
Guard Chief:  Responsible for accountability of the Battalion’s Guard.  Responsible for training all new Guard personnel in uniformity, communications, general and special orders, tactical observance, use of deadly force, and restraint procedures.  Special training was constantly conducted for the Reactionary Force to include controls and deployment and variant tactical ingress and egress to key areas and avenues of approach.
